Expansion of production capacity

We are benefiting from the increasing demand for high-quality, sustainable as well as animal- and environmentally friendly food additives and were again able to win numerous new customers worldwide last year.  In order to be able to continue to guarantee the supply security of our customers despite this increasing demand, our exclusive partner, the company Holzmühle Westerkamp, has started to expand production.

Since the end of the year, the new dryer is already in operation at Holzmühle Westerkamp. The dryer is extremely quiet, being completely enclosed in an acoustic hood. With the new dryer, we can now dry 12 tons of raw material per hour, which is around three times the capacity of the old plant. As the new dryer is also supplemented with a wood chip heating and a heat recovery system, the energy requirements are the same as that of the old plant.

Furthermore, a new warehouse is currently being built for a new bagging line which will increase the bagging capacity to 20 tons per hour. The holding capacity of finished goods will also be significantly increased.

A new grinding plant for wood flour and wood fibers is also planned for 2021. This plant will be accompanied by the construction of further raw material silos and finished product silos, as well as a high-performance loading facility for silo vehicles.

These investments will ensure that we can continue to supply all our customers.
